William Ngo is a Canadian-trained optometrist who received his OD (2011) and PhD (2016) from the University of Waterloo. He then completed a two-year Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. With experience in both clinical practice and research, he is interested in pursuing translational research, with the hopes to use discoveries in the lab to inform and improve clinical practice. His particular areas of interest are ocular surface disease and contact lenses, both of which he has published and lectured widely on. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. He currently serves as Head of Biosciences at the Centre for Ocular Research & Education.
